  Text	Kirchenbuch Lublin Jahr 1894 Sterbefälle 294. Sterbeurkunde Trojnia Gottfried Sommerfeld (72), verstorben am 6. Sep 1894 in Trojnia, Firlei, Lubartow. Landwirt in Trojnia. Geboren in Ostrofki. Eltern: Christof Sommerfeld und Mine, geb. Lütke. (Dieser Eintrag ist falsch!!!) Er hinterlässt seine verwitwete Ehefrau Rosalie, geb. Martin. Zeugen: Ludwig Kühn (51), Landwirt in Trojnia. Wilhelm Hensel (50), Landwirt in Trojnia. ------ Comments to the "parents": Evidence from numerous certificates clearly confirms that the parents of Gottfried were Peter and Elisabeth Sommerfeld. Furthermore, there is no mistake in identifying this as the same Gottfried, since all other details, such as dates, village, and wife, match perfectly. It's plausible to suggest that the witnesses might not have known the names of Gottfried's parents, which wouldn't be surprising given that they had passed away half a century prior. It's possible they either made up names or incorrectly associated a different Christof they knew with Gottfried. Compounding these circumstances, the family was also dealing with the loss of Gottfried's daughter, Emilie, who passed away two days earlier in a nearby village.

По наочном удостоверении о его кончитъ, актъ от вившится неграмотнымъ прочитанъ и нами только подписанъ. ------ Es fand in Lublin am sechsundzwanzigsten August / siebenten September 1894 statt, es erschienen Ludwig Kühn, einundfünfzig Jahre alt, und Wilhelm Hensel, fünfzig Jahre alt, Landwirte aus Trojna, und verkündeten, dass am Vortag um sechs Uhr abends in Trojna Gotfrit Zomerfeld, zweiundsiebzig Jahre alt, gestorben ist, geboren in Ostrofki, der Sohn der verstorbenen Kristof und Wilhelmina, geborene Litke, hinterließ seine verwitwete Frau Rosalie, geborene Martin. Nach Augenzeugenbestätigung seines Todes wurde dieser Akt den Analphabeten vorgelesen und nur von uns unterschrieben. ------ It took place in Lublin on the twenty-sixth of August / seventh of September 1894. Ludwig Kühn, fifty-one years old, and Wilhelm Hensel, fifty years old, farmers from Trojna, appeared and announced that the previous day at six o'clock in the evening in Trojna, Gotfrit Zomerfeld, seventy-two years old, passed away. He was born in Ostrofki, the son of the deceased Kristof and Wilhelmina, née Litke, and left behind his widowed wife, Rosalie, née Martin. Upon eyewitness verification of his death, this document was read to the illiterate individuals present and signed only by us.
